Principal

Welcome to Chandler Elementary! I am honored to be your child's principal. My name is Stephanie Virgin-Henrich and I have lived in Chandler all of my life. My heart truly belongs here. As a previous student at Chandler School, I know first hand the dedication and passion of the staff, the community involvement, and the importance of parent participation. I am a 1990 graduate of Castle High School. From an early age, I knew my calling was to work with children and provide them with opportunities of success and growth. After graduating from the University of Southern Indiana, I became a Title I reading and math specialist here at Chandler School. I then moved to third grade and eventually fifth grade. Along the way, I received my master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and my administrator's license from Indiana State University. I became the assistant principal in 2006, moving into the position of principal later that year. I am thrilled about working with the students and staff here. I honestly LOVE my job!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, five children, and I are involved within the community and our church. We love to help others. Over the years, my bond to the children of Chandler has only strengthened. As of now I am fortunate enough to be in a position to implement and see changes. Chandler has been the only place for me for over 39 years and it will always be my home. I have a personal interest in your child and their successes. Let's work together to make it happen!

  Mr. Nick Kerner

     Assistant Principal

Hello Chandler families! My name is Nick Kerner and I am the Assistant Principal between Chandler and Oakdale Elementary Schools. I am at Chandler on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. 

This will be my 15^th year in education and 4^th year as an Assistant Principal for the WCSC.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Indiana in Special Education. I received my Master’s degree in School Administration from Indiana State University in 2017.

My family consists of my wife (Leslie), my stepdaughter (Olivia), and my son (Hayden). I am blessed to be a part of Chandler’s school community along with our amaing staff. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you throughout the year.
